Diatomaceous Earth comes from a fossilised algae, and its ability to control unwanted organisms was discovered in Germany about 200 years ago. Since then, humans have consumed it to fight internal parasites, fungus, and bacteria, and its high silica content provides enormous benefits to health.
While it is great to take for its detoxing and anti-aging properties, Diatomaceous Earth can be used for a multitude of other purposes. It can be added to animal feed for additional minerals, used on pets to get rid of lice and other bugs in their fur, sprinkled on your lawn to get rid of bugs, used for cleaning harsh stains from kitchenware, and to keep unwanted pests like cockroaches and ants out of the house.
- Start with 1/4 tsp mixed in water daily, and work up to an optimum dose of 1 tsp daily, or 1 tbsp for more benefits.
- Best taken on empty stomach, 1 hour before or two hours after meals.
